Eagle-eyed royal fans spot relatable Princess Charlotte moment as they say 'my kind of girl'

Royal fans have said Princess Charlotte is their 'kind of girl' after they spotted a completely relatable moment during a public engagement with her family. The Prince and Princess of Wales rounded off the Coronation weekend by heading to help renovate a Scout hut site alongside their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The family-of-five headed to Slough, Berkshire, as part of the Big Help Out which took place on Monday (May 8) in a bid to encourage people to use the final day of the celebratory weekend to volunteer, bringing communities together and create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation weekend.

All eyes were on Charlotte's younger brother Prince Louis after he was missing from the previous evening's Coronation Concert in Windsor. He was seen trying everything from shovelling sand to painting a planter base and wheeling a barrow before the five-year-old royal ended the day splashed with paint but with a reward – a marshmallow-and-chocolate biscuit sandwich.

The young royals beavered away helping renovate the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut as the adults reset a path, dug a new soakaway, sanded and revarnished a door, screwed together planters and created a mural as a lasting legacy of their work.

But as mentioned, before leaving, Louis was treated to a "smore" – a marshmallow-and-chocolate biscuit sandwich – as the youngster roasted marshmallows over a brazier with his mum and Charlotte.

William smiled and said: "You won’t hear a peep out of him now for about 20 minutes." And the youngster staggered around after taking a bite, as he enjoyed the moment, and bumped into his sister.

However, as videos circulated on social media, as royal fans gushed over admirable Louis, they also spotted a moment when Charlotte almost lost her sweet treat but quickly scrambled to pick it back up off the grass. And fans said the same thing.

@rich_kimmie tweeted: "Charlotte using the ‘5 second rule’ if food hits the ground is awesome. My kind of girl." @RoyallyKate posted: "LMFAO it’s Charlotte’s 5-second rule with dropped food and Louis’ reaction to the s’more for me." @CorrinneStanley joked: "Princess Charlotte obviously knows the 5 second rule."

@carol_pooley posted: "Charlotte used the 5 second rule… dropped her food, picked it up and ate it…. All kids do that." @moorcraftjohn noted: "Charlotte rightly applying the 5 second rule here." @Vmartine1905 replied: "Did Charlotte just do the 5 second rule? Good lass. Proving she is human." @jolie_oiseau77 added: "Charlotte abiding by the 5 second rule IN nature!! She IS the future Queen !! Please override Georgie boy!! #RoyalFamily."
