The EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover has been officially revealed by EA Sports, and 31 men's and women's stars feature in a brand-new cover style.
EA FC 24 is the first instalment of EA Sports' newest football game series, EA Sports FC. The game will replace EA's long-running FIFA series after the publisher and FIFA ended their 30-year partnership last year, and more information regarding the new game is starting to be revealed, with the cover of the Ultimate Edition being confirmed before EA FC 24's official release.
The confirmed release date of EA FC 24, despite being leaked, has yet to be confirmed by EA, but the reveal of the Ultimate Edition cover does confirms that we will be getting at least two versions of the game, a Standard and Ultimate Edition. And, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe does not feature on the cover at all for the first time since FIFA 20, with Manchester City's Erling Haaland taking centre stage.
EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover revealed
The EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover is the first of its kind, with EA taking a new approach and including a massive 31 players on the cover of the game. And, each athlete on the cover is included as their EA FC 24 avatar, rather than a real photo of themselves.
The cover looks like a big team photo, with Haaland front and centre of the cover, surrounded by a mix of men's and women's players, both past and present. Either side of the Norwegian striker is Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior and Chelsea Women's Sam Kerr, whilst ex-players including David Beckham, Pele, Zinedine Zidane, Rudi Voller, Andreas Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Johan Cruyff and Didier Drogba feature.
Premier League stars include Virgil van Dijk, Heung-Min Son, Alexander Isak, Marcus Rashford and an odd-looking Bukayo Saka, whilst we think the Ultimate Edition confirms the inclusion of women's Icons in EA FC 24, with England legend Alex Scott and USA legend Mia Hamm both on the cover. Leaks earlier this year suggested that women's players and women's ICONs would be added to Ultimate Team in EA FC 24, and the cover could also indicate the two being joined together. With all the players mixed in one photo, it could hint towards the all-inclusive mode.
