Well, those Iron Man rumors were true — an all-new game based on everyone’s favorite tinman is coming.
On Tuesday, Electronic Arts (EA) announced that its Montreal-based Motive Studio is making an Iron Man game. It’s a single-player action-adventure title made in collaboration with Marvel that will (of course) highlight Tony Stark’s exploits.
There’s some top-tier talent working on this Iron Man title. More specifically, Ian Frazier (Star Wars: Squadrons), Maëlenn Lumineau (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey), and JF Poirier (Child of Light). Olivier Proulx, best-known for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, is leading this new Iron Man project.
“It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to make a video game based on one of the most iconic Super Heroes in entertainment today,” Proulx said via EA’s website. “We have a great opportunity to create a new and unique story that we can call our own. Marvel is encouraging us to create something fresh. We have a lot of freedom, which is so engaging for the team.”
Regrettably, it’ll be a while before Iron Man comes out. It’s only in the pre-production stages currently, and EA Motive still needs to ship that Dead Space remake first.
There are also rumors still floating around about EA making a Black Panther game.
