A savvy Dyson customer has shared details on how fellow shoppers can pick up a free attachment for one of the company's hair products — but not everyone will benefit from the item.
Those who purchased a Dyson Airwrap Complete Hair Styler are able to apply to receive a complimentary wide-tooth comb.
Designed for multiple hair types, the hair styler includes numerous attachments to curl, wave, smooth and dry hair without extreme heat.

The hair appliance costs £450, but those who have already purchased one are eligible for the free accessory.
Sharing details on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, the shopper who spotted the deal wrote: "If anyone has bought a Dyson Airwrap in the last 2 years you qualify to get this free attachment!"
She continued: "If you click the writing in red it leads you to a email link and you just type your name & Dyson serial number and they will send you one out for free when they're back in stock."
Before long, the post had received almost 4,000 comments from consumers sharing their thoughts on the free accessory.
"Who don’t love a freebie," one said.
"Ooh will have a look," a second posted.
A third wrote: "I’m struggling to even purchase the air wrap, sold out everywhere!"
"Gutted I actually paid £30 for my attachment last year," commented another.
However, some members of the group were quick to point out that the free attachment is intended for afro and textured hair, and therefore many Dyson Airwrap owners would not benefit from the accessory.
One commented: "Be wary that it’s engineered for afro and textured hair so probably won’t do anything if you’ve got straight hair!"
Another stated: "You do all realise that it’s for Afro or extremely curly hair don’t you?"
A third agreed: "This is for people with curly/Afro hair".
"Gonna leave mine for one of our curly haired girls," shared another.
On the Dyson website, it states that the wide-tooth comb "has robust teeth to help de-tangle and lengthen hair as it dries".
The website continues: "This attachment is specifically engineered for selected hair types. The tool will have limited effectiveness for those that do not have Type 4 hair, also referred to as afro or textured hair."
