Dylan McGeouch in Forest Green Rovers 'exit' as former Hibs and Celtic star 'weighs up new offers'

Former Hibs midfield starlet Dylan McGeouch is set to leave Forest Green Rovers in the summer after a dismal relegation campaign.

McGeouch started his career in Celtic's youth academy, though he made the switch to Rangers as a 15-year-old - but low and behold, returned to Celtic Park when he was 18 after Neil Lennon visited his house to secure a move.

Making his debut later that campaign, McGeouch seemed to have a bright future ahead of him after making a hatful of appearances for the Hoops, though first-team minutes never really materialised. Ending up at Hibs, Sunderland and later Aberdeen, McGeouch surprised everybody by making the move to captain Duncan Ferguson's Forest Green last season.

But after a horror campaign for the Gloucestershire club saw them relegated with just 27 points and six wins to boot, McGeouch is back on the free agent scrap pile despite winning the Player of the Month award twice, alongside the Player of the Year.

According to Football Scotland, there are a number of League One outfits who have registered their interest in McGeouch after becoming an ever-present.

He will likely consider the offers from a multitude of clubs before committing his future to one side.

McGeouch, who won two Scotland caps prior to his move back down south to Sunderland, has not scored a league goal for almost nine years.
