Dylan Levitt to Hibs transfer 'close' as Dundee United man to become Lee Johnson's latest addition

Hibs are closing in on the capture of Dylan Levitt, according to a report.

The Dundee United midfielder is set to remain in Scottish football but return to the top flight with Lee Johnson's men following the Tangerines' relegation last term. He initially joined the club on loan from Manchester United with the move made permanent last summer after a successful stint at Tannadice.

However, he was unable to replicate the same form last term with Jim Goodwin's troops now looking to immediatiely bounce back to the Scottish Premiership next season following relegation to the Championship.

Levitt was part of the Wales World Cup squad last year but didn't feature in Qatar. The 22-year-old will further boost the ranks in the capital say Sky Sports. as the Hibees gear up for the league return and their crack at Europe.

They enter the Europa Conference League at the second qualifying stage and will need to negotiate three two-legged ties to reach the tournament proper.

The first tie takes place in just over three weeks time with Johnson and Co putting in the hard miles on the training pitch to ensure they are not caught cold on the big return.

They open their Premiership campaign on Sunday, August 6 against St Mirren with the game taking place 24 hours after the rest of the division due to European involvement on the Thursday night.
