Dylan Connolly joins Morecambe

Dylan Connolly has swapped League Two for League One after joining Morecambe.

The former St Mirren, Wimbledon, Dundalk, Bray Wanderers, Ipswich Shelbourne and Bohs winger has signed a one-and-a-half year deal after leaving Northampton Town.

Connolly had made 23 appearances for the Cobblers this season but said of his transfer: “I’m buzzing to be here. I can’t wait to get going now.

“My agent phoned me towards the end of last week and said that there was a bit of interest and it has just snowballed from there.

“We have managed to get everything done pretty quickly.”

Connolly added: “I’m excited about the move, the gaffer thinks I can play a big part in the way he wants the team to play, a style which will complement my game.”
