Easter falls on Sunday, April 17 this year which means some benefit payments due to be paid on Good Friday or bank holiday Monday will land in accounts early.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have confirmed changes to upcoming payments dates to ensure people receive their money on a day when Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines are open.
The holiday weekend from April 15 to April 18 means that if the expected payment date is Friday 15 or Monday 18 April, then benefits will be paid early on Thursday, 14 April.
If the expected payment date is not listed, claimants will get their money on the usual payment date.
DWP payment dates over Easter weekend
Payments due to be paid on Friday, April 15 or Monday April 18 for the benefits listed below will be paid on Thursday, April 14.
