Easter is nearly here. That means chocolate, time off work, and family time are just around the corner for many of us.
It also means two bank holidays, in Good Friday and Easter Monday. This therefore means your benefits could be paid at a different time, the Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed.
This affects universal credit, the state pension, the personal independence payment, jobseeker's allowance, and more benefits. So when will they be paid?

DWP benefit payment dates over Easter 2022
Benefit payment dates won't change for many people: they will only change over Easter if your regular payment date falls over the Easter weekend. That means only those with benefit payment dates between the 15th and 18th of the month will be affected this year.
If you do fall into that category, you should receive your money the day before the weekend, so April 14. This is the same for child benefits and tax credits, which sometimes have different payment dates than universal credit and others.
So, in summary, if you usually receive your benefits between the 15th and 18th, you will receive them on April 14 this Easter. This applies to the following benefits:
