Universal Credit claimants are set to receive a huge boost to their monthly payments from the spring as the Government raise the amounts in line with inflation amid the cost of living crisis.
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed in his Autumn Statement on Thursday that the benefit will increase by 10.1% from April 2023, along with the State Pension. This means that single people aged 25 or over on Universal Credit will receive over £400 extra every year, while couples aged 25+ will receive more than an additional £630.
The amount you are eligible to receive while on Universal Credit depends on a range of circumstances, including your age, your living situation, and whether you have children - but all amounts are set to rise in April. Here are estimated amounts released by the Government following the Autumn Statement, giving people on Universal Credit in a range of different situations an estimate of what they will receive.
