The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has updated those who receive State Pension, Tax Credits and other benefit payments on when they will receive support in the coming days.
This news comes after the bank holiday that was scheduled for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday, September 19, 2022. As reported by the Daily Record, the DWP confirmed last week that payments due on the bank holiday would instead be paid on Friday, September 16.

They have now advised that payments due today and tomorrow, Wednesday September 21, will be made as normal, but the money may go in at a different point of the day. The DWP said: "People due payments and credits on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 September will also be paid as normal, but throughout the day of their expected payment date.
"There is no need to call us to check, as payments will be made. We advise people to check their accounts later in the day.”
The disability cost of living payment, worth £150, is due to start being paid into accounts of approximately six million people in the UK from today (September 20). The DWP has previously stated that the payment window for this £150 is between September 20 and early October.
So, according to the latest advice, this payment may not appear in people's accounts first thing, but later on in the day.
Benefits that may appear in accounts throughout the day on September 20 and 21
Scheduled payments due to be made by both DWP and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) which may arrive throughout the day include the following:

- Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit
- Personal Independence Payment
- State Pension
- Universal Credit
- Child Benefit
- Guardian’s Allowance
- Working Tax Credits
- Child Tax Credits
The DWP also noted that customer phonelines are available to anyone who requires assistance with any other queries.
