DWP: If your £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment is missing you can report it

If you were expecting a £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment but have not received it, you can now report it to the DWP.

The DWP updated its Cost of Living Payment page with information on how to report a missing payment on Monday October 3, following the end of the month of September. The £150 payments were scheduled for between September 20 and the start of October.

Many disabled people who expected their payment on or around September 20 had their payment delayed, with the DWP telling ChronicleLive that the Queen's death and subsequent bank holiday for her funeral had an "effect" on payments.

But by now - Monday October 3 - most people eligible for the £150 should have had their payments. The DWP said on Friday September 30 that almost six million people had received theirs.

But the DWP added that some may be paid in the "beginning of October".

The DWP said on September 30: "There will be some cases – such as those who gained entitlement to this payment at a later date or where payments were rejected due to invalid account details – who will not be paid by the beginning of October. These will be paid automatically as soon as possible."

If you qualify for the payment by claiming either Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance for adults, Disability Living Allowance for children, Adult Disability Payment, Child Disability Payment, Attendance Allowance, Constant Attendance Allowance, Armed Forces Independence Payment or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, then check your bank statements for a £150 payment from the DWP between September 20 and October 1, 2022.

If that payment is missing - and you were expecting one - you can report a missing payment through the DWP here - you will need your National Insurance number.

To qualify for the payment, you must have been claiming the appropriate benefits on May 25, 2022.

The DWP adds: "If you receive a Disability Cost of Living Payment, but we later find that you were not eligible for it, you may have to pay it back."
