Easter is just around the corner and, in addition to the eggs, gifts and other celebrations that many households get involved with this time of year, families up and down the country will be trying to manage their money. And for those expecting Universal Credit, PIP and Child Benefit payments, it's worth noting down the upcoming Bank Holiday dates.
Easter this year falls on the following dates - Good Friday (April 7), Easter Sunday (April 9) and Easter Monday (April 10), with the Easter holidays between Monday, April 3 and Friday, April 14, this year. But what does this all mean for benefit payments around Easter?
According to the Government's website, anyone expecting their benefit payments on one of these Easter Bank Holidays will receive them on Thursday, April 6 this year. Here's a full list of the upcoming Bank Holiday payments to be made for 2023.

Benefits are usually paid straight into your bank, building society or credit union account, official Gov.uk information states. If your payment date is on a weekend or a bank holiday, you'll usually be paid the working day before, however this can vary between benefit types so it's worth checking your own.

- Friday, April 7 - Good Friday
- Monday, April 10 - Easter Monday
- Monday, May 1 - Early May Bank Holiday
- Monday, May 8 - Bank Holiday for the coronation of King Charles III
- Monday, May 29 - Spring Bank Holiday
- Monday, August 28 - Summer Bank Holiday
- Monday, December 25 - Christmas Day
- Tuesday, December 26 - Boxing Day
When will you receive your benefit payment around these dates?
- Easter Bank Holiday payments will be made on April 6, if you are expecting your payment on April 7 or 10.
- Early May Bank Holiday payments will be made on April 28, instead of May 1.
- Payments expected on May 8 (King Charles III's coronation) will be paid out on May 5.
- Spring Bank Holiday payments will be made on May 26, instead of May 29.
- Summer Bank Holiday payments will be made on August 25, instead of August 28.
- Payments expected on December 25, 26 and 27 this year will instead be paid out on December 22, ahead of Christmas.
