A payment schedule for this year's Cost of Living Payments has been announced, with more than eight million people across the country set to benefit.
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has now announced when claimants should expect the payments, with the £900 boost split over three dates throughout 2023. Eligible people include those claiming Universal Credit, Pensions Credit, tax credits and the Jobseekers Allowance.
As well as those claiming benefits, there will be payments made to millions of disabled people and pensioners in a bid to help vulnerable cope with the increasing cost of living.

Here is when those eligible can expect the support.
Cost of Living Payment 2023 schedule
- £301 – First Cost of Living Payment – during Spring 2023
- £300 – Second Cost of Living Payment – during Autumn 2023
- £299 – Third Cost of Living Payment – during Spring 2024
Who qualifies for the £900 Cost of Living Payment?
- Universal Credit
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credi
Exact dates will be announced closer to the time of each payments. Those eligible will not be required to apply for the support, with cash reaching bank accounts automatically.
