In the region of six million UK residents are set to receive a one-off lumper to help ease the cost of living next month, as the £150 DWP payment lands in bank accounts to help Britons tackle inflation.
The sum comes as the second of five different amounts to be granted by the Government, in a package spread across the 2023/24 financial year.
It follows on from a £301 payment which dropped between April 25 and May 17 to select people, and those who believe that they are entitled to it but did not receive it have the chance to now report a missing payment.

Birmingham Live reports that the prior payment was available to those claiming means-tested benefits like Universal Credid, Income Support, Pension Credits and Tax Credits. Meanwhile, the next financial aid inbound will land in the accounts of those claiming disability payments like Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance.

What are the exact dates of the £150 cost of living payment?
The next £150 payment will be paid out by the DWP over a two-week period spanning June 20 and July 4. Previously, the Government had only indicated a 'summer' payment period on its official schedule, but now the exact dates have dropped. Payments are expected to come in at any time between the two dates, although it is expected that bank credits usually don't take place over the course of the weekend.
When the payment window comes to a close, there will also be an option to report a missing payment, should people who believe they are entitled miss out altogether. However, some payments may only come after the expected period should recipients obtain their benefits at a later date.
What is the qualifying date for the £150 cost of living payment?
The financial aid will be available to some six million people on disability benefits, and there is a crucial one-day rule to be able to get the money. You need to have been on one of the following disability benefits on April 1, or have been subsequently paid for that date.
- Disability Living Allowance
- Personal Independence Payment
- Attendance Allowance
- Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment
- Constant Attendance Allowance
- War Pension Mobility Supplement
Recipients must have achieved a payment (or later receive a payment) of one of these qualifying benefits for April 1 this year. Those who were awaiting confirmation of their entitlement to disability payments on that date - or those who are still waiting to be assessed for disability benefits - may see their process take a little longer.
The DWP however have confirmed that payments will still be automatic for these people, should they be eligible.
