Former Sunderland striker Dwight Yorke believes Roy Keane has underachieved in his managerial career after leaving the Black Cats. The duo played together at Manchester United before the Republic of Ireland international took over at the Stadium of Light.
Keane has already spoken about signing Yorke and how important he was to the dressing room on Wearside as Sunderland romped to the Championship title. For Yorke, seeing his former captain now working as a manager meant he saw Keane in a different light.
He told FourFourTwo: "I saw him in a different light. He always had the potential to become a manager because of his character.

"He's underachieved in his managerial career, but knowing the character of the individual, international football better suits his style. A club manager has to deal with people on a daily basis.
"Keano couldn't stand people on daily basis, even if he liked them. It revolves a lot around dealing with executives, dealing with clubs, dealing with the under-23's, going to meetings and that's every single day. I don't think he's very good at that."
