In a transition-filled grapple-fest, Jonathan Micallef put Mohamed Ado to sleep with a slick triangle choke at 3:01 of Round 1 at Dana White’s Contender Series 76.

Australia’s Micallef (7-1) is a former Hex Fight Series welterweight champion. Five of his seven pro victories have come inside the distance.
Canada’s Ado (5-1) was one of his country’s most highly-touted prospects, particularly after his performance during a filming of “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.” White passed on signing Ado due to his rawness, but praised him for his foundational abilities.
