Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has revealed how his mother is doing days after she was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.
The former professional wrestler-turned-actor, 50, was distraught as he told fans how his beloved mum Ata, 74, had survived the smash.
The Jumanji star had shared pictures online showing that the right side of her vehicle had been completely wrecked and thanked the Los Angeles emergency services for being “so caring and focused,” as they stayed with him on the phone throughout the ordeal.
Thankfully, Mrs Johnson is making a good recovery, with The Rock telling press at the Grammys on Sunday that she is “doing good”.
He also opened up to Entertainment Tonight about what was going through his mind when he got the call about his mum.
“It was 3am when I got that phone call,” he began.
“You know when my phone rings at 3am and it’s a family member, it’s not good.”
Relief swept over him that he was able to speak to him mum right away and he also told how he had asked her on the phone if he could speak with the paramedics – and there was certainly no need for an introduction.
“I say, ‘This is Dwayne Johnson’, and the paramedic says, ‘Oh, I know. She’s been telling us she’s The Rock’s mum,’” he joked.
