West Ham are reportedly looking to challenge Everton for Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata but the Hammers may have an advantage in their pursuit.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers have joined the race to sign the 31-year-old and have a slight advantage in the hunt for the Colombian as he prefers a move to London.
Steve Cooper's Nottingham Forest are also said to be interested in the attacker as they look to continue adding reinforcements to their squad in a bid to avoid falling into the Championship at the first time of asking.

With the transfer window entering its final two weeks, it could see three Premier League clubs battle it out to sign a striker who has scored 80 times for Atalanta.
The Daily Mail have claimed that the current asking price for him is around £25m. Further reports in Italy, namely Tuttomercato Web have suggested that the Blues are looking to bring him in on a temporary basis with an option to buy.
However, it goes against the current plan from the Bergamo side as they look to sell him in excess of £20m.
Zapata becomes the latest forward linked with a move to Goodison Park as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his forward line - already Moussa Dembele and Arnaut Danjuma are among the names linked.
