Dustin Poirier has ruled out a fourth fight with Conor McGregor and insists he has nothing left to prove against the Irishman.
Poirier and McGregor have fought three times in the UFC, first meeting in 2014 when McGregor knocked out the American in less than two minutes.
They would meet again seven years later with Poirier avenging his defeat by becoming the first man to knockout McGregor in his MMA career.
Six months later and history would repeat itself as Poirier secured another TKO win against McGregor after he broke his leg in their trilogy.
And Poirier explained why he doesn't want a fourth fight against the UFC superstar.
“Me and Conor have a history,” Poirier told reporters at UFC 271. “Fighting him at ‘45 and bumping up, then bumping up, fighting him seven years later, beating him.
"Even that fight — I’m probably not going to fight Conor again. I don’t really want to fight Conor again. For me, that door is closed.
“The only reason I’d do it is for money. I beat him two times in a row. Can I best my two performances? Can I knock him out quicker?
"Can I 10-7 him? What can I do? I’ve done it. If I do it again, it’s just for money, right? So that’s a completely different thing.”
UFC fan favourite Nate Diaz, who also ruled out facing McGregor, has called for his retirement fight to be against Poirier.
The pair have been teasing the fight since Poirier missed out on the lightweight title against Charles Oliviera at UFC 269 in December.

Poirier has been packing on some size ahead of a welterweight clash with Diaz and 'The Diamond' is confident the fight can take place in the summer.
"I think there's a good chance it's going to happen. I think summer is probably a good target if I would put it on the calendar," Poirier continued.
"I have a good feeling it's going to happen. I'm not sure if I want to stay at 170lb, but I just want to be in fights that mean something for me.
"Nate's a guy I grew up watching fight. I respect him and his brother, I think stylistically it's fun for the fans, this is a Fight of the Year type of fight and those are the fights I want to be a part of it."
Poirier and Diaz were supposed to meet in a lightweight fight at UFC 230 in 2018, but Poirier withdrew due to an injury and the bout was never rebooked.
