Dusan Vlahovic 'flat-out' rejects transfer as Arsenal duo offered to Barcelona

Arsenal's need for new recruits has intensified following two more exits this week, with Sead Kolasinac and Pablo Mari both departing.

That has seen the Gunners' depleted squad lose further members and there's still expectation that further departures are on the cards.

Naturally, a wealth of players have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium but it's not all good news for Mikel Arteta.

The hunt for Dusan Vlahovic continues and while Arsenal continue to push, the Independent states Newcastle have made it clear they're ready to outgun the Gunners in the hunt.

Miguel Delaney's weekly newsletter says the Magpies have made their intentions clear to Vlahovic, while they're willing to pay Fiorentina more for his services and present the Serbian striker with higher wages.

However, there is some encouragement as it's added that the striker has 'flat out' rejected the notion of signing for Newcastle.

Elsewhere, Barcelona have been offered the services of Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette this month, Mundo Deportivo claims.

Aubameyang is surplus to requirements following a high-profile fall-out, while Lacazette is free to depart this summer when his contract expires.

Finally, Arsenal are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign New England Revolution keeper Matt Turner as Sky Sports state a £5m bid has been lodged.

The Gunners are keen to land the United States international in a deal that would open the door for Bernd Leno to complete the move he's seeking.
