Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with thefts across Lanarkshire totalling nearly £500,000.
The accused, aged 21 and 33, are alleged to have been involved in four incidents of theft by housebreaking or attempted theft with a total value of stolen items estimated at £496,000.
Officers from Lanarkshire Pro Active Crime Team carried out extensive enquiries into the crimes, which took place at properties in Airdrie, Biggar and Lanark, between Thursday, March 16 and Wednesday, April 19.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal with the pair expected to appear in court at a later date.
