Two men allegedly armed with knives were arrested following a robbery in Co Meath.
Plain clothes gardai on patrol in Ratoath Village spotted the robbery in progress at a store on Fairyhouse Road on Monday, September 19 shortly before 7pm. One man was arrested at the shop while the other was nabbed after a short foot chase but the third man escaped before he could be caught.
Both suspects were allegedly armed with knives. They were detained at the Ashbourne Garda Station where they were charged with one count of robbery each.

On Tuesday, both males were taken before Trim District Court and were remanded in custody to appear in court on a future date. Gardai have issued an appeal asking anyone who may have witnessed the men and the robbery to contact them.
A garda spokesperson said on Meath Crime Prevention group: "Detectives in Ashbourne are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the movements of these individuals before the robbery or if they had observed any suspicious vehicles in Ratoath prior to 6.50pm on Monday last, to contact them at Ashbourne Garda Station on 01 8010600."
