If there's one thing families are wanting right now, it's ways to keep warm without the dreaded central heating. Not that we have anything against central heating of course, but with energy prices soaring most people are wanting to avoid any sky high bills or constant meter top-ups.
Having already found solutions during the daytime, with Oodies and heated airers keeping us warm, our attention has turned to bedtime - and the latest trend - teddy bedding.

The key is in the name. It's basically bedding that's as soft as a teddy bear - extra soft and fluffy to touch - and sets have become massively popular, particularly in the current economic climate.
I've not yet reached the menopausal milestone, but I can imagine just looking at this fluffy bedding would be enough to get women of a certain age breaking into a sweat.
And that has to be said was my main concern. I like being cosy in bed - I have a tendency to keep my socks on until I get too warm and somehow peel them off in the middle of the night - but there's nothing worse than a sweaty sleep.
With temperatures dropping though, we decided to give Dunelm's sets a go - a king size for us and two singles for the kids to try.
With 'a feather-like finish' it's so soft to touch and unlike some fleecy-type materials, which can create a bit of static and sort of catch on your skin, there's none of that - you slide right into it.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I love it, I'm in love with it. The love was instant and we shall never part. Well, until spring at least.
For my husband, let's just say it was a grower. On night one, the mixture of our usual cotton sheet underneath, but soft duvet cover on top, was enough to make him 'unsure' of his new habitat.
Thankfully, with divorce papers poised, he decided that, having got used to it, he's a little bit in love with it too. As are the children who described it as 'like sleeping in an Oodie' - high praise indeed.
But the best thing about it all is how much we've managed to save by not turning the heating on because of it.
By now we would usually have the heating for a couple of hours in the evening, to warm the rooms before bed and an hour in the morning, to make sure we're not woken prematurely by the chilly air.
At today's prices, with the central heating costing a whopping £3.40 an hour, that would amount to more than £70 for a week.
But because we know the bed is going to be warm anyway, we haven't bothered. In just over a week the bedding would have paid for itself.
Obviously the weather hasn't been too cold yet, so maybe when it gets chillier, we might decide to invest in the teddy bedding sheets too. Although I do think having the cotton sheet underneath has stopped us from getting too hot and dare I say it - sweaty!
I'm not sure the other half could handle another change, but if it means keeping that heating off he might just be persuaded.
The Teddy Bear Feather Soft Marl Reversible Duvet Cover and Pillowcase sets come in four colours - natural, grey, feather blush and navy and are available at Dunelm, both in store and online. Single £22, double £27, king £32.
