Anyone who’s ever navigated the crowds, heat, traffic, and parking problems that blossom when you try to actually go to the beach in the Hamptons knows, it’s good to be…connected. And I’ll be the first to admit, once you’ve enjoyed the easy beach access that comes with owning a modern masterpiece on Dune Road, or in my case, once you’ve enjoyed those privileges as a guest at several of those special homes on the coast, it’s pretty hard to go back to paying for parking and lugging beach chairs over tarmac from the car.
That’s where the Dune Deck Beach Club that’s set to open soon on Westhampton Beach comes in. It’s been developed by The Discovery Land Company on the south fork of Long Island to bring exclusivity, luxury, and active family fun to the Hamptons like the Yellowstone Club in Montana, Baker’s Bay in the Bahamas, and the other developments the company is known for.
In addition its oceanfront location, the Club features a resort pool, cabanas with full beach service, a wading pool and whirlpool as well as its luxury lodging that includes 33 Beach Club Suites featuring a bedroom, a living room with a pullout bed, kitchenette and two bathrooms.
The Club also features Discovery Land Company’s signature Outdoor Pursuits program, staffed by experienced guides who arrange surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and fishing as well as mountain biking, cycling, horseback riding and wine tasting. Meanwhile, the Club’s personalized member services concierge can provide additional assistance and residential services.
And of course the food is amazing. Michelin-starred Chef Francis Reynard is the executive chef at Dune Deck and at Chileno Bay who brings 30 years of experience, working with top chefs and restaurants across Europe, South Africa and the United States to the Hamptons.
Dining options include the Ocean-view restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and the Deck Bar ideally located near the pool.
There are 70 lodging memberships available, giving holders priority reservation access to Beach Club Suites along with use of all Beach Club Facilities and amenities.
Additionally, there are 205 Beach Club Memberships, which give holders secondary access, on an as-available basis, to the Beach Club Suites along with use of all Beach Club Facilities and amenities.
And it’s 80 miles from Midtown Manhattan and 10 minutes from the private Francis S. Gabreski Airport.
