Dundee United 'grant permission' to Rijeka to open talks with Tam Courts

Dundee United 'grant permission' to European side to open talks with Tam Courts

DUNDEE UNITED have granted Croatian outfit Rijeka permission to speak to head coach Tam Courts over becoming their new manager, according to a report.

The Croatian top flight side are said to have contacted the Tannadice club over the past 24-hours about Courts.

The Daily Record say United have allowed for their boss to talk to Rijeka.

Courts landed the top job at United last summer, as he stepped up from the academy to replace Micky Mellon.

His first season was a big success, as he guided the Tangerines to fourth in the Premiership, thus securing European football this summer.

Should Courts wish to move on, United would be in line for a significant six-figure compensation package.

Courts has attracted attention from England's lower leagues this summer.

But he has also impressed further afield too, with Rijeka on the lookout for a new manager.
