Question: which city is the sunniest in Scotland? No Googling.
If you said "Dundee", you're right* - and the city has also been named the pub quiz capital of the nation after a study identified it as having more trivia nights per head than anywhere else in the country.
The research, conducted by online gaming website Hearts-Challenge.com, concluded that the City of Discovery has an average of 21.85 pub quizzes per 100,000 people. The website believes 31 pubs in Dundee offer quizzes on the regular - proportionally more than other cities like Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
So while other cities might have more pubs overall, there's a greater likelihood of wandering into a watering hole near you in Dundee and finding a quiz night for you and your team.
A spokesperson for Hearts-Challenge.com said: “Pub quizzes are a fun and thought-provoking way to keep people entertained, but most notably a fantastic way to engage with the local community.
"Whether you remember trivial facts or not, quiz nights allow you to enjoy yourself while working out your brain and socialising with your peers.
"This study provides a great guide into Scotland’s most prominent quiz cities, with Dundee beating Edinburgh to the top spot by a landslide.”
