Dundee FC have suspended their ground staff team amid an internal club investigation.
Father and son duo Brian and Brian Robertson have been stood down from their posts working on the Dens Park pitch.
Robertson snr has served the club as a groundsman for almost 40 years with son Brian joining the staff eight years ago.
The reason for their suspension is not known at this point. However, it's understood temporary staff have been appointed to tend to the surface.
A club statement reads: “It is an internal staff matter which will be resolved in due course.”
While the Dens Park surface has previously received praise - the club has seen two matches called off due to a waterlogged pitch in recent months.
The scheduled Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen was called off less than an hour before kick-off. And the match against St Johnstone earlier this month was postponed after a morning inspection.
General manager Greg Fenton had been left furious after David Munro called off the match between Dundee and Aberdeen - as he claimed the match should have gone ahead.
He told PLZ Soccer last month: "The referee arrived at 13.40 for the game. He did his pitch inspection - as you can see he had concerns with the away goalmouth.
"At that point, with no consultations with the managers or police, he made his decision to call the game off.
"Obviously we are not happy with that and we will be taking it up with the league and the SFA."
Pushed on the financial cost of the call-off, Fenton explained: "I couldn't put a figure on it just now but any event that gets cancelled there are obviously costs associated, six figures to that."
