Former Hamilton Accies boss Stuart Taylor is back in Scottish football after being announced as the new assistant manager at Dundee.
The Dens Park side are back in the Premiership next season following their Championship title win and recently appointed former Aberdeen assistant manager Tony Docherty as their new gaffer, following Gary Bowyer's shock exit.
This afternoon, the club announced a series of backroom appointments and Taylor will be Docherty's No.2 for the 2023/24 campaign.
Taylor had a protracted exit from Hamilton Accies at the end of last season, with the club and Taylor's representatives negotiating his release from the club throughout the summer. He eventually left the club just two weeks before the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking on the appointment of his new Assistant Manager, Tony Docherty, told the Dundee website: “I am delighted that Stuart will be coming in as my assistant.
"Stuart has extensive knowledge and experience as an assistant manager. He’s worked all over and has a very impressive CV.
"I went through a really robust process to get the right person in and I am really confident about everything that Stuart will bring to the club.
"I am really looking forward to him getting started.”
The former Airdrie and Ross County coach led Accies to a sixth place finish in the Championship during his season at the helm, but the club were relegated to League One under his successor, John Rankin, last month.
