Duncan Ferguson has admitted he was disappointed that he never got a chance a full-time management at Everton.
The Blues icon had two stints as interim manager at Goodison Park as he was installed as temporary boss following the sacking of Rafael Benitez and Marco Silva. He suffered one defeat in his first spell in charge and managed to claim a win against Chelsea plus draws against Arsenal and Manchester United.
Despite not being appointed the role on a full-time basis, he remained in his position as an assistant under the stewardship of Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and Frank Lampard. The appointment of the Chelsea icon left the former forward disappointed.

"I think it was considered," he said speaking to Sky Sports. "I went for an interview, but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in that interview.
"That was obviously disappointing to be a manager of a club that you loved. I think I deserved a chance at that, to take the team to the end of the season.
"Unfortunately, the club went along a different route, they brought in Frank Lampard, a great coach, a man I have a lot of respect for and we got on well. And to be fair to him, he came in, he steadied the ship, and he saved the club from relegation.
"But I was disappointed I never got that chance."
