A major yoga event is being held in Dumfries tomorrow to raise funds for Ukrainians fleeing their war-torn country.
Yoga and meditation teachers Jill Dobbie, Jackie le Brocq, Pauline Steenbergen and Alyson Tyler are sharing practices for the fundraising afternoon in Lincluden Community Centre, off College Road from 2pm to 5pm.
Lincluden Community Centre have generously waived the hall hire fees so every penny raised will go to support refugees.
To book a place email Jill Dobbie via. yogafromtheheartdumfries@gmail.com. A donation of £15 or more is asked for, with concessions available for those on a low income. Participants will need to take along a yoga mat, blanket, cushion, extra layer and water bottle.
The link to pay for a ticket is www.givey.com/yogaforukraine.
The money raised will go to Dumfries-based charity, Massive Outpouring Of Love – D&G Refugee Action to help with their aid effort for Ukraine and those taking part will also have the opportunity to write a note or message of love and support which will be sent in the donation boxes being sent to refugees.
