Big-hearted Dumfries Lions Club members and friends will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk on Thursday for two worthy causes.
The review pictures show some of them getting in some practice for the big event which is the culmination of weeks of preparation gearing up for a fundraising venture in collaboration with the Marie Curie cancer charity.
The Lions are hosting a pre-loved fashion show at 7pm in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Brooke Street.
The volunteer models will be dressed in all kinds of clothing from casual to work wear, bridal fashions to outer wear and party glamour to special occasion garments.
Event co-ordinator and Lion’s Club member Belinda Thomson said: “We are looking forward to this event which we expect to be very popular and we would like to thank all those who are supporting us and hopefully there will be the a large attendance who we are sure will enjoy the evening.”
The pre-loved clothing – which is being provided by the Marie Curie charity shop on the town’s High Street and a generous donation by a local wedding shop – will be available to purchase on the evening with all sales going to the worthy cause.
In addition, the proceeds of the ticket sales and a raffle will be split between Marie Curie and the Dumfries Adults Resource Centre.
