Top Scottish curlers have been in action at the Ice Bowl this week as the town hosts the Scottish Championships.
Olympian Ross Whyte, who travelled straight from Beijing, has a team entered into the men’s tournament with more players from across the region taking part including Team Strawhorn skipped by Jack Strawhorn from Lockerbie.
Team Whyte was leading the round robin during the week with a record of three wins and one defeat on Wednesday.
In the women’s side of the draw Fay Henderson skips the only Dumfries team.
She had a joint lead as of Wednesday and also had a 3-1 record in the round robin stage.
A large contingent of former Dumfries Young Curlers are taking part in the tournament, which runs until Sunday.
