Dumfries Cornets Club members, pictured above, collected a host of donations for the Standard’s Christmas Toy Appeal which closed on Wednesday.
Appeal co-ordinator Sharon Liptrott has been busy distributing the presents to the various agencies involved with underprivileged children in the area to ensure they reach their destinations in time for Christmas Day.
Although the appeal has now closed for donations of gifts and sweets, financial contributions are welcome and can be made all year directly into our bank account at the Bank of Scotland in Dumfries either in branch or online using BACS.
The toy appeal account number is 10856666 and the sort code is 80-22-60.
Our own offices in Park Lane are closed, so please do not send cash or donations there.
