Dumfries Activity and Resource Centre has been given a new hoist thanks to the JMA Trust.
And at the weekend members of the ARC took on a massive fundraising challenge by climbing the New Abbey Three Peaks.
Every year the JMA Trust, on top of regular partnerships, make a series of Easter and Christmas donations to worthy causes such as clothing or food banks.
With a year of lockdowns meaning a number of partnership agencies were unable to host events the JMA Trust would usually support, they donated £3,000 for the new equipment.
Dumfries ARC already has a manual hoist but this new tracking hoist is much easier to manoeuvre for staff and service users. Due to lockdown causing delays for manufacturers the hoist has now been installed.
Claire Aitken of the JMA Trust, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support causes like this, particularly in local communities, where people are really generous with their funding for the JMA Trust.
“To be able to give something back to those who need it really makes our work worthwhile.”
Dumfries ARC is a day centre for adults with physical and learning disabilities.
And Dawn Kuehnel, a staff team member, is taking part in the Great Glencoe Challenge by walking 26.2 miles from Glencoe to Fort William with her husband Richard and close friend Suzanne Macmillan. Once again this will be for Dumfries ARC.
