Duk being 'monitored' after Aberdeen form as Pittodrie favourite catches the eye of English suitors

Aberdeen striker Luis 'Duk' Lopes is 'attracting' interest from clubs in England, according to a report.

The Cape Verde, who scored a stunning individual goal in Aberdeen's 3-1 win over Dundee United on Saturday, has bagged 11 goals in 29 appearances since signing from Benfica in the summer window. Duk is a fans favourite at Pittodrie and has been one of the rays of light for the Dons so far this campaign. As well as getting into double figures in the goals tally he has also created six goals for his teammates.

Duk, 23, signed a three-year deal in the Granite City when Jim Goodwin was manger in the Pittodrie dugout so the Dons hierarchy will be looking for a hefty sum for the striker. According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, a number of clubs down south 'are monitoring' Duk's progress ahead of potential bids during the summer transfer window.

The Dons board will not want to lose the Portuguese-born player as he has struck up a good relationship with fellow forward Bojan Miovski since they both signed in the summer. The striker has also been linked with an exit.
