Dujon Sterling Rangers injury recovery timeline detailed by Michael Beale

Michael Beale has detailed when it is expected Dujon Sterling will return from injury.

The Rangers new boy is currently out of action with a calf knock he picked up in training upon the club's return to pre-season.

As a result, the former Chelsea defender missed out on the team's summer training camp in Germany this week.

Thankfully for the right back and Beale though, it doesn't appear to be anything too serious, and he should be back training with the first team within the next two weeks at the latest.

Beale told Rangers TV: "He's got a slight calf strain. Dujon worked extremely well over the summer, he came back powerful and strong. He looked like one of the fittest in the group.

"Unfortunately, he's picked up a small problem. It's a ten to 12-day problem.

"It was easier for us to keep him at home because we've got a group of players at home in Tom Lawrence, Steven Davis, and Connor Goldson working there, as well as one or two of the international players reporting back at the end of the week. It made sense for them to go to Glasgow rather than come here to work. So, we do have a working staff at home."

There was also positive news regarding Connor Goldson, Tom Lawrence, and Kemar Roofe according to the manager.

He added: "Just on the injury front, we've some excellent news that Connor Goldson is progressing very well and Tom Lawrence will join the team the moment we return home.

"Kemar Roofe has joined in the last two sessions, so it's really pleasing that we're making great strides.

"I think having Mark Waller back working with John Irwin and his team is a real benefit for everyone."
