All eyes are fixed on the Duchess of Cambridge as she whips around Copenhagen on her two-day solo tour.
As is her trademark, Kate’s knack for high-low style is once again on display. Yesterday, she emerged from a slide at Lego Foundation Play Lab sporting a sharp tailored, red tweed blazer, complete with peaked lapels and shiny golden buttons.
Rather than the Chanel you might expect, the power jacket came courtesy of Zara with the reasonable price tag of £59.99. As is the Kate effect, it has already sold out.
Kate finished the look with a pair of wide leg black trousers, a frilled collar blouse by affordable luxury brand ME + EM , and a favorite Aspinal of London ‘Mayfair’ handbag, in mock crocodile leather.
She upped the bar today for her official welcome with Denmark by Queen Margrethe II and Crown Princess Mary, wearing a sleek, over the knee dress coat in grey, with contrast black lapels and a raised shoulder designed by Catherine Walker and thought to cost around £3,000. It was polished off with Monica Vinader of-the-moment pearls.
Elsewhere on the trip, she got down to business chopping wood in her trusty British Barbour jacket at a forest kindergarten.
