Ducati’s Limited-Edition Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia Is the Most Italian Thing Ever

Every Ducati is at least a bit special, in my books. But the Tricolores are always particularly special, and this latest 2025 Panigale V4 Tricolore is even more so. This model will pay homage to Ducati's success in Azzurro at Mugello in 2024, which was certainly something pretty special.

MotoGP fans probably remember it well. But for those who don't, this limited-edition model celebrates Ducati's success on June 2, 2024, which also happens to be Italy's Republic Day. On this day, the Ducati Lenovo Team raced in the Italian Grand Prix with a special Azzurro livery, honoring the colors of Italy’s national sports teams. The factory team took home a dream-like one-two finish, with Francesco Bagnaia bringing home the gold, closely followed in second place by Enea Bastianini.

Two Italian riders on factory Ducatis, standing on the highest two steps of the podium at Mugello on Italy's Republic Day. It will never get more Italian than that.

If you're hoping to snag one of these Panigale V4 Tricolore Italias, for which the V4 S provides the foundation, you're already out of luck. All 163 units that will ever be made have been allocated.

Of course, Ducati being Ducati, there's a significance to the number 163.

“I remember with great emotion the Mugello race last year, which ended with the unforgettable victory in ‘Azzurro’ on our home track, right on Republic Day. A success full of meaning and transformed into something tangible for our Ducatisti thanks to 163 unique bikes - 1 like Pecco's first place and 63 like his race number in MotoGP - which embody Italy’s passion and sporting soul, expressions of our uniqueness on the international scene. On behalf of Ducati, I thank Minister Urso and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) for hosting us and making this occasion even more important.”, said Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati.

Each model will feature the limited-edition livery and be signed by Bagnaia, but there's more to this bike to set it apart from a standard Panigale V4 S. Exclusive to the V4 Tricolore Italia are carbon fiber rims, adjustable footpegs made from solid aluminum, a dry clutch, a racing braking system with 338.5 mm discs, and, for the first time on a production bike, Brembo GP4 Sport Production calipers.

As with all limited-edition Ducatis, this model features a steering plate made from solid aluminum, featuring the model’s name, unit number, circuit profile, and an inscription honoring the lap record set by Bagnaia.

Owners who want a cherry on top of this already spectacular package can opt for a limited-edition professional suit made of fine kangaroo leather in a color scheme that matches the bike's. Any customers who have purchased the bike in North America will receive a Panigale V4 Tricolore helmet and jacket and have the option to purchase the Tricolor Italia suit.
