Met Eireann have issued a rare high temperature advisory for this weekend with the hot weather set to last into next week.
The mercury could go over 30 degrees in parts of the country during the day with forecasters warning of "incredibly warm" nights on the way. This hot spell will start Sunday with the advisory in place until midnight next Wednesday.

A top weather forecaster had previously said that Dublin could see temperatures soar to a stifling 29C this weekend due to a "hot plume."
Alan O'Reilly told RTE Radio 1 that the mercury would peak on the 17 July, resulting in a scorching Sunday.
He said: "For Friday, temperatures are going to start to increase and the weekend is looking like it could even be hotter than what has happened last weekend and today.
"There is a hot plume of air expected to move up from the South over the weekend and that could bring us close to 30 degrees. That's kind of worst/best case scenario depending on your outlook.
"It could bring parts of the UK into the mid thirties or even some of the weather models show it getting up to 40 degrees in England. I don't think that will happen but it will certainly be some very warm weather."
