Good morning, folks! Heavy rain and powerful gusts are set to hammer Ireland as a low pressure system will be making its way up the west coast today.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said that while most of the rain will stay offshore, a band of showers is expected to track across the country. He added: "Strongest gusts will stay offshore but winds will increase and risk of strong gusts in west and northwest tomorrow afternoon."
Dublin will be hit by strong winds today but it will be mainly dry in the morning. There will be some rain or drizzle at times in the afternoon and evening and daytime temperatures will be 11 or 12 degrees.
