Don't put away those brollies just yet as Ireland will be hit by wet and windy weather this week.
An "active jet stream" will bring lots of rain and cooler temperatures this week. Independent forecaster, Weather Alerts Ireland said: "Over the next 10 days over 100mm is expected to fall in many spots, especially in the West.
"Unfortunately, it is going to be fairly windy at times too. The potential for that storm we posted about has backed away but still looking windy tomorrow and a couple of other days throughout the week. It is going to feel cool also with temperatures only in the mid-teens for many parts this week. It will feel warmer when the sun does decide to make an appearance."
Dubliners will wake up to a dreary and dull day with showers and long spells of rain expected. There will be some sunny spells but some of the showers will turn heavy with a slight chance of a thunderstorm.

It will be a breezy day too with moderate to fresh westerly winds. The highest temperatures will be around 17 or 18 degrees.
Tonight will be wet at first with scattered showers but they will ease off with clear, dry spells developing. The temperatures will hit the lows of 7 to 9 degrees.
Tomorrow will see more showers and sunny spells as showers will turn more prolonged as the day goes on with the potential for thunder. The highest temperatures will be around 17 to 18 degrees.

Tuesday night
"Becoming largely dry with clear spells but more showers will reach Atlantic coastal counties by morning. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light west to southwesterly winds. A few mist patches in places too.
Wednesday
"Showers and spells of sunshine once again on Wednesday, some turning heavy and possibly thundery in the afternoon in parts of the east and north. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees, coolest in Atlantic coastal areas, in moderate west to southwesterly winds.
Thursday
"Some early sunshine especially in the east and north but cloud gradually increasing from the Atlantic bringing outbreaks of rain which may turn heavy and persistent later especially in western parts. South to southeast winds freshening too and increasing strong near the west coast. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees."
