Dublin weather: Met Eireann predicts sizzling sunshine as temperatures remain above 20 degrees

Met Eireann has confirmed that warm weather will continue on throughout the bank holiday weekend.

Sunday will be dry and sunny, with light easterly breezes enveloping the country. Daytime temperatures will soar to highs of between 19 and 22 degrees in Dublin.

Hayfever sufferers are warned that symptoms could worsen over the next few days. The pollen count is now high in Leinster for both Sunday and Monday.

Evening temperatures will subside to lows of 7 to 11 degrees, although it will remain dry and clear for the night. Sunshine will continue to dominate the weather forecast next week.

Here is the national forecast for the next few days below.

Monday

Dry and sunny, although cloud will build slightly during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of around 20 to 23 degrees in light easterly breezes.

Tuesday

Another mostly dry and sunny day with just light easterly breezes. Again, cloud will build slightly during the afternoon and evening with isolated showers affecting northern parts. Highest temperatures of 19 degrees in the east to 24 degrees in the west.

Wednesday

Another mostly dry and sunny day with just light easterly breezes. Again, cloud will build slightly during the afternoon and evening with isolated showers affecting northern parts. Highest temperatures of 19 degrees in the east to 24 degrees in the west.
