Dublin weather: Met Eireann forecast warm temperatures in high teens but warn of wet conditions

Temperatures around the country are set to reach the high teens over the coming days but Met Eireann has warned there will be wet weather later this week.

Today will be generally dry in Dublin with decent spells of hazy sunshine. There will be just a slight chance of isolated showers at times. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in mainly light southeasterly breezes.

It will stay dry overnight with lowest temperatures of around 7 to 10 degrees in mainly light southeasterly breezes.

The capital will be dry tomorrow with occasional spells of hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly breezes.

While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is what Met Eireann's national outlook says.

Thursday

"Cloudy with outbreaks of rain gradually extending northeastwards across the country. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light to moderate easterly or southeasterly breezes.

Friday

"Dull and damp to start with outbreaks of rain continuing to affect much of the country. By the afternoon however, the most persistent rain will clear northwards with a mix of sunny spells and showers following from the south. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light southerly breezes.

Saturday

"Generally cloudy with further outbreaks of rain for much of the day, possibly turning heavy in places. Highest temperatures of around 12 to 15 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes.

Sunday

"Remaining largely cloudy. Many areas may have a dry start, although further outbreaks of rain are expected later in the day. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light south to southwest breezes."
