Dublin weather: Met Eireann forecast rainy Easter weekend but warm temperatures on the way

Met Eireann have forecast wet weather for the rest of the week leading into Easter weekend.

However, temperatures are set to stay in the high teens over the coming days, dropping slightly on Easter Sunday.

Here's Met Eireann's forecast for the rest of the week:

Today

"Mist, fog and low cloud will slowly clear this morning to give some sunny spells but will linger near some coasts.

"Whilst many areas will stay dry, there will be a few showers scattered about, becoming isolated later in the day. It will be mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in a light southwesterly breeze.

Tonight

"Tonight will be dry in most areas with clear spells at first and patches of mist or fog developing. It will become cloudier overnight with some drizzle or rain developing in western parts by dawn.

"Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with light to moderate southerly breezes."

Thursday

"Thursday, will be mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, persistent in the west, southwest and northwest but light and patchy elsewhere with many eastern parts staying dry.

"Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees with moderate south to southeasterly breezes, fresher near some coasts."

Good Friday

"Good Friday will bring a good deal of cloud with some scattered outbreaks of mostly light rain but a lot of dry weather overall.

"Some bright or sunny intervals will develop in parts too after a dull start. Mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, coolest on exposed coasts, with light or moderate south to southeasterly breezes."

Saturday

"Saturday will bring a lot of cloud with some outbreaks of rain which could be persistent near the west coast.

"Some parts of the east and southeast may stay drier. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate or fresh southerly breezes, easing later."

Easter Sunday

"Easter Sunday will bring some dry periods initially but rain will never be too far off the west coast and is likely to spread eastwards across the country later. Becoming breezy too.

"Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate south to southeasterly breezes, increasing fresh and blustery near coasts."
