The mixed bag of weather looks set to continue as the April showers seem set to persist through to next week.
Met Eireann have forecast a "dull and damp" start to Wednesday and the "uncertain outlook" is set to continue though to next week. Today will start with some outbreaks of rain which will clear eastwards with decent sunny spells and just a few showers with highs of 12 to 14C.
Isolated showers will continue through the night as the temperature drops to 2 to 4C. It will be largely dry on Thursday with decent sunny spells and temperatures between 9 and 12C.

It will become cold on Thursday night as temperatures drop to as low as 0C with patches of mist and fog possible. And the uncertain weather is set to continue over Easter weekend with unsettled conditions to last into next week. Here's what the national forecast has in store for the coming days:
Friday: "Dry for the vast majority of the country with decent bright spells and just a slight chance of showers. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light south to southeast breezes."
Saturday: "Cloudy and wet with persistent outbreaks of rain in the west gradually extending across the country. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes."
Sunday: "Generally dry at first with some early bright spells. In the afternoon, a band of showery rain will then push in from the west, mainly affecting Atlantic coastal counties while parts of the east may remain dry. Highs of 11 to 14 degrees, warmest in the east, in mainly light southerly breezes."
Monday: "A cloudy and wet start with outbreaks of rain in many areas. By the afternoon though, the rain will largely clear eastwards with a mix of bright spells and scattered showers following from the west. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light westerly breezes."
