The weekend will be dominated by "heavy" showers of rain, thunder and dense humidity, Met Eireann have forecast.
There will also be spells of sunshine and temperatures as high as 24 degrees. Today will be mostly dry in the capital with a chance of showers.
Friday will be similar if not a little bit colder before the weather becomes unsettled at the weekend. Met Eireann's full forecast is below:
Today
Generally dry with just a slight chance of showers. Good spells of sunshine as well, turning a bit hazy later in the day. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees in light southerly breezes.

Tonight
Mostly dry at first, although patchy outbreaks of rain will arrive from the west by morning. Overnight temperatures will stay warmer than in recent nights, only falling to around 15 or 16 degrees. Light to moderate southerly breezes.
Tomorrow
Mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain throughout the day. Somewhat humid as well with highest temperatures of 19 to 21 degrees. Light to moderate southerly breezes.
Tomorrow Night
Remaining cloudy and humid with scattered outbreaks of rain. Overnight temperatures not falling below 15 to 17 degrees in light southerly breezes.
Saturday
Staying humid with occasional outbreaks of rain, most frequent in western parts later in the day. Most areas will be cloudy with the best of any sunshine in the east and northeast. Highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes.
Saturday Night
Rain will turn persistent and potentially heavy over much of the west and midlands overnight while parts of the east will remain dry until morning. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes, veering westerly by morning.
Sunday
A dull and wet start with widespread outbreaks of rain. The rain will clear to scattered showers by the afternoon, some of which may be heavy or thundery. Some sunny spells will develop as well. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than in previous days with highs of 17 to 21 degrees in mainly light westerly breezes.
Monday
Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, merging to longer spells of rain in the west later in the day. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in light southwesterly breezes.
Next Week
Early indications are that it will remain unsettled through mid-week with further spells of rain or showers expected.
