Dublin Fire Brigade battled a car blaze on the M50 that saw the motorway temporarily closed this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire on the busy motorway northbound after J12 Dundrum.
A number of lanes were temporarily closed to traffic as firefighters tackled the blaze.
A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Earlier this morning, Firefighters from Rathfarnham and Donnybrook extinguished a car on fire on the M50 Northbound after J12 Dundrum.
"A number of lanes were temporarily closed to allow firefighters safely fight the fire.
"The vehicle will be removed by the crew from @M50Dublin."
It was a busy morning for firefighters after a car was flipped onto its roof in a separate rollover collision in Tallaght.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Blessington Road.
A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Tallaght fire station were called to a rollover road traffic collision off the Blessington Road today.
"Once patient treatment has been completed, fluids, oils and fuel are a factor in a rollover collision before a street can be opened to road users."
