A 15-year-old from Tallaght is currently living his dream while competing in car racing in the UK.
Daire Flock grew up in a family well involved in motorsport, with his dad previously competing in Formula Ford. The youngster said his "dream has been to race cars for as long as can remember" and he first rode a motorcycle at just three years old.
He "loves the speed, adrenaline and thrill" that he feels when he's behind the wheel. Daire is currently racing in his rookie season of car racing in the Junior Saloon Car Championship, a competition limited to 14-17 year-olds.

The season is now well underway with Daire grabbing some great results for his team Westbourne Motorsport, including his first podiums. His next race is in Knockhill in Scotland.
Out of the 30 teenagers competing in the JSCC, Daire is the only one travelling from Ireland each race weekend. Due to difficulty with gaining sponsorship in the sport, he has set up a donations page which you can access here.
