Dublin student claims Harry Styles and girlfriend Olivia Wilde 'were refused from restaurant as staff didn't recognise them'

A Dublin student has opened up about meeting singer Harry Styles in the city centre on Monday night after he and girlfriend Olivia Wilde were refused a table at a Dublin restaurant after staff didn’t recognise the famous couple.

Former One Direction star Harry, 28, is in the capital to play at the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday night

The singer was spotted walking around Dublin city with girlfriend Olivia Wilde on Monday evening, and one fan has claimed Styles was refused a table at a Dublin restaurant when he went to try and get a table without a reservation.

Nicole, from Rathfarnham in Dublin, spotted Harry and Hollywood actress Olivia Wilde walking into the unnamed restaurant on South Williams street in Dublin in the hope of getting a table - only to walk out minutes later.

She told the Strawberry Alarm Clock on FM104: “We just saw Harry Styles get rejected by a good few restaurants trying to get in so I just thought it was funny.

“I thought it was very funny to walk South William (Street) and see Harry Styles wandering around. He was trying to keep it on the DL (down low) obviously.

“There is a seafood restaurant on South William Street and he popped in but he ended up walking back out. That’s when I saw him.”

Nicole, who studies sculpture in NCAD, said she spotted fans “crying” when they saw the star.

“There were a few people crying. It was a bit ridiculous, like.”

But Nicole admitted she wasn’t a fan of One Direction and thought it was funny at how quickly crowds gathered when they spotted the couple.

The couple were also seen walking outside of Murphy’s Ice Cream and the International Bar, with Harry wearing a white shirt, navy Playdium Skate Club Jacket and navy trousers. Olivia had a long, blue patterned dress on.

Following his Dublin gig, Harry’s Love on Tour show will head to Hamburg in Germany before moving throughout Europe, Canada, North and South America and Australia.
